Solo Batik Carnival is precisely termed as SBC. It is an exclusive carnival held annually in the city of solo, Indonesia. The carnival has been introduced in the year 2008 and is very successful from the day of introduction. On 13th April 2008, Solo Batik Carnival was held. It was conducted in the main streets of the beautiful city of Solo, in the Slamet Riyadi Street.
But what is actually the Solo Batik Carnival? The festival boasts some unique and interesting concepts of fashion ramp and show conducted on the streets of Solo. Some reputed models of the city perform the show with unique, colourful and eye-catching costumes and new fashion statement blended with traditional produced from Batik. The show found to be colourful as more than 200 fashion models along the street. Slamet Riyadi Street is the longest street of the city will be flooded by the fashion models during the Solo Batik Carnival. It will be a real, unimaginable and unsurpassed delight to watch the everlasting and vibrant beauty of the fashion show of colourful angels in a catwalk.
Solo Batik Carnival represents three different and traditional styled masks. These conventional and unique masks are associated with the historical characters as well as the mythological characters. The three stylish masks are the Panji masks, Kelana masks and the Gecul masks. The Panji masks portray and symbolises the King or the Queen, who are humble, gentle and beautiful. The Kelana masks depict the evil gains or the knights. And finally the third mask Gecul masks stand for royal servants.
